Every year, devout fans of an Atlanta Marriott Marquis Hotel carpet join together over Labor Day weekend in elaborate costumes to celebrate the legendary rug. The ironic part? In 2015, the hotel replaced the carpet. Still, the Cult of The Marriott Carpet joins together to cosplay and walk the parade in honor of their long lost icon and if there’s one thing that members have in common, it’s a commitment to the bit.
