This summer I was invited to be a summer intern for the sacramentoliteracy foundation, where I volunteered my time helping promote all the incredible things the SLF does to advocate for early literacy. This was my first experience as an intern and it was a time I won’t soon forget. I gained powerful experience in the fight for literacy. Like the Sacramento Literacy Foundation, it is also my mission to help close the reading gap and give ALL KIDS access to books! I hope to find more ways to partner with the SLF in the future, as we both care deeply about children and are committed to leading the charge for early literacy in our Sacramento communities.
