A huge congratulations to Cambridge Student and UCAPP Athlete, Jan Helmich, on winning bronze at the Paris 2024 Paralympics!🥉 Having discovered his passion for rowing at Cambridge University, Jan has been supported by the University of Cambridge Athlete Performance Programme (UCAPP) for 5 years while studying for his PhD in Engineering at trinityhallcamb. Jan competed for Germany in the PR3 Mixed Double Sculls, alongside teammate Hermine Krumbein, and secured the Bronze Medal and spot on the podium alongside teams Australia (Gold) and Great Britain (Silver). UCAPP aims to support high-potential student-athletes in achieving excellence in both their academic and athletic pursuits.
