Cal comes to town this weekend, marking just the second time Auburn has faced the Golden Bears. You've seen the list of teams of teams Auburn has never faced (don't worry, you'll see it again next week). But what about teams that have only been played once? There are 50 teams on that list. Some are pretty recent, having just been removed from the never-faced list, like Purdue, Minnesota, and, for the time being, Cal. Others are ancient foes that don't play at the FBS/FCS level, don't sponsor football, and, honestly, don't even exist anymore. While we always want to see new foes for the first time, the next best thing is scheduling these one-time foes, especially if it's been decades since facing them. Even better if Auburn is able to even up the record against those teams that won the first matchup (indicated with the red dates in the graphic).
