@jimschmitz is a bit of an unknown legend in the sport. You won’t generally hear his name tossed around in conversations about weightlifting, but that shouldn’t be the case. Jim has an unmatched track record and more time in the sport than nearly any other person in USAW. Professionally, he’s coached at three Olympic games, spanning 14 athletes, including silver medalist, Mario Martinez. The list of achievements goes on and on, but the most impressive part of his resume is his continued involvement in the sport. He first found weightlifting in 1964 and hasn’t turned back since. In this episode, we talk all about Jim, his background, and the evolution of weightlifting. Don’t miss it, just follow the link in my bio. #sportspalace #sf #weightlifting #philosophicalweightlifting #podcast
