Either of these 2 variations are acceptable. Sometimes I do burpees “the right way”....you know, little hop into plank and little hop forward and stand.

But I have some lower back issues and I really hate planks! I also have some wrist issues that makes me uncomfortable in the up and down motion of planks.
.
.
Remember, we modify for different reasons!!! Sometimes it’s for safety, sometimes we are building strength. And honestly, sometimes we just don’t feel like going all in on intensity!

Push yourself when you know you can do the move safely and you’ve been practicing for awhile. But don’t start the negative self talk of “I’m wimpy because I have to modify” or whatever your inner mean girl/guy tries to say.

Keep practicing, stay safe, and if you never get there, keep moving!
