Our researchers are successfully growing #hops at UF IFAS Mid-Florida Research & Education Center and UF Gulf Coast Research & Education Center. But #CraftBrewers 🍻 ultimately need to know whether #FloridaGrown hops have the same appeal to the senses as #hops grown in Yakima Valley. You need trained noses 👃to answer this question, so we recruited @ufcals students and taught them to detect differences between the scents of pelletized hops (you can see them training here). These same students participated in an official blind test that pitted Yakima & Apopka-grown hops against each other. We can't wait to share the results!
