The founder of the World Wide Web, Tim Berners-Lee will be auctioning off his invention's source code as an NFT in an upcoming
@sothebys auction.
There are over 9.500 lines of code and the NFT will also be sold with a digital poster that is autographed by Berners-Lee via a graphic signature.
The World Wide Web was originally designed to help scientists collaborate, his invention soon expanded beyond the academic world. There are now over 4.6 billion active internet users in the world.
Bidding will open at $1,000 on June 23, and the auction will run online until the end of the month. [h/t
