Kevin Dessart has left his position as head coach with the Lawrence Vikings women’s ice hockey program, announced on Monday, August 26th. He has accepted the position as associate head coach with the University of Vermont, #NCAA Division I, women’s ice hockey team. In his two seasons with the Vikings, Dessart had an overall record of 7-46-1 while 5-27-0 in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (#NCHA) play. Dessart started behind the bench in just the third season of the programs history, earning their first victory ever on November 25, 2022. The team earned their first #NCHA win and series sweep on January 27-28, 2023, over Finlandia on home ice.
