During Colt’s hearing, he was advised of his rights along with the charges and penalties he is facing in connection to the shooting. After leaving the courtroom, the 14-year-old was called back so the judge could correct a misstatement that his crimes could be punishable by death. The judge clarified that because he’s a juvenile, the maximum penalty he would face is life without parole. Another hearing has been scheduled for December 4th. ____________________________________ The suspect’s father, Colin Gray, appeared next.
