The Knights rang the Victory Bell tonight after defeating their original “old school” rival: Travis. Since 1953, when both schools opened to relieve overcrowding at Austin High, the schools have battled for the right to ring the bell. The Victory Bell is an old railroad bell purchased by the first newspaper staffs at the two schools to create an annual rivalry.
