The Hollywood sign turns 100 this year!! The iconic Hollywood sign, built in 1923 as a real estate billboard, has undergone a recent renovation to bring it into the next century. Initially reading “Hollywoodland,” the sign was handed over to the City of LA and fell into disrepair until it was rebuilt in 1978 with the help of Hugh Hefner and other celebrities. In 2022, the Hollywood Sign Trust and Sherwin-Williams partnered to give the sign a fresh look, using two power-generated swing stages to access the 45-foot-high letters and approximately 40 gallons of paint per letter. The new paint used has self-cleaning technology, making maintenance minimal and the sign now proudly stands in “green” Captured this sunset with the necessary airspace permits and a break in the rain; everything looked so green!! 5” Build Camera: Shot with @gopro hero 11 Frame: @399project Super G Motors: @iflightgo 2207 1855KV FC: @racedayquads Bardwell F7 ESC: @hobbywing XRotor 60A 6S VTX: @djiglobal Caddix V...
