Now that Labor Day is behind us, it’s time to say goodbye to summer and hello to leaf-peeping season. In a concrete jungle like NYC it may feel like your daily PSL is the closest you’ll get to really soaking up the essence of fall, however, just a few hours outside of the city you’ll find one of the most thrilling fall foliage experiences for East Coasters (emphasis on the “coaster.”)
So who’s up for a weekend road trip? Lake Placid is home to the iconic Cliffside Coaster–the longest mountain coaster in the US–where riders can whizz through the stunning Adirondack peaks in a bobsled-like cart. If you plan your visit over the next two months you’re sure to catch some stunning scenery in an adrenaline-pumping experience that’s much more elevated than a stroll through Central Park.
Would you make the trek Upstate to try out the Cliffside Coaster? Tap the link in our bio for details on operating hours and send this to someone you want to go on a fall-themed road trip with.
