But lately, we’ve seen alarming attacks on trans-Texans—from shutting down transition care to eliminating DEI programs in universities, and now, the Texas DPS refusing to update gender markers on IDs. These harmful policies don’t protect Texans—they send the message that being different makes you unwelcome. We reject that narrative. We stand with our trans family and everyone facing these cruel measures. Texas is for everyone, and ALL Texans deserve love, safety, and acceptance—no exceptions. No matter the policies, we’ll keep showing up for each other, lifting each other up, and being unapologetically ourselves.
