⚓️SHIPWRECK ARTIFACT CONSERVATION! One of the largest artifacts our archaeologists found on an 1782 shipwreck from the Revolutionary War is a 4-pound long gun (cannon), which recently went through retreatment. The process refreshed its outer coating, which protects it from corrosion and the environment while it is on display in the Wrecked! Exhibit, located in the basement of the Keepers’ House at the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum. See many other artifacts from this shipwreck in the exhibit!
