The final deadline to reduce storage is Sept. 17; any accounts still over the limit will have their data “subject to deletion.” Previously, alumni were notified that they would be unable to create or add new files if they exceeded the 5GB limit by July 24. Further restrictions were implemented for accounts that did not reduce storage use by Aug. 1, including limited access, content deletion and the inability to edit or upload content. External emails from outside of the UC Berkeley domain were also returned, citing storage limitations as the reason for blockage.
