COEHS prides itself on #PartneringToMakeTheWorldABetterPlace by collaborating with our students and alumni to create innovative and transformative learning experiences that leave a lasting impact. 💙 This summer, uofnorthflorida COEHS proudly collaborated with the nrscenter at the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind to host STEM Academy II for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) high school students. This immersive three-week program provided students with the opportunity to engage in a STEM-focused curriculum while preparing them for collegiate studies in the field. The program was organized by Cara Wilmot, a current UNF doctoral student, in her role as STEM Academy II Coordinator. Adding to the program’s impact, Amber Galloway, a distinguished COEHS alumna and leading advocate for ASL-oriented accessibility in music, led an interactive workshop and live performance for participants.
