It was a successful home opener for the Corps and the Hokies on Saturday! The regiment was in the stands to cheer the football team to victory over Marshall University. A special thank you to Dover Air Force Base, the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport, VT Air Force ROTC, and members of VT Athletics for helping make the pregame C-17 flyover possible! (Images 1-8)
2017 Corps alum U.S. Air Force Capt. Benjamin Pederson was named the Hokie Hero for the Marshall game. Capt. Peterson is a member of the 13th Expeditionary Combat Weather Squadron. He is attached to the 82nd Airborne Division Task Force, deployed to Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base in Romania. (Image 9)
Three first-year cadets were selected based on their performance in the Corps to receive the flags on the field before the game. Cadets Anna Redman, Luke Hunter, and Lucas Quatrara rendered honors to the flags and carried them off the field. (Image 10)
