Booked a bday trip to Iceland—because if not now, when?✌️… A few months ago, on a Sunday morning, I sat in bed scrolling through Insta, seeing the 10 millionth video of Iceland. I wondered, again: is it overhyped? Then decided to experience for myself… on my bday 🫡. It was my first truly spontaneous booking—I purchased flights that very moment, cleaned out credit card points and booked on my phone (!). And I’m grateful that when I poked Evan awake and ‘asked’ (promising it was only 4 days PTO!), per usual, he said, “Sure”. And YES. Road tripping Iceland’s Ring Road lived up to the hype!! And YES, It was cold and rainy half the time— we came to love the moody rain and WILD winds. Lots of ‘realities’ to come! ☑️ What’s your dream birthday destination?
