In Malawi, where 25% of the rural population live in extreme poverty, menstrual hygiene products are not readily available and are a low priority for households with meagre incomes. Thanks to the support of generous Canadians, girls are making reusable sanitary pads and learning about puberty and menstrual hygiene so they can stay in school.
