Our memorial labyrinth’s outer layer ring bears the names and has become a place of healing and peace. From the ashes, a story of heroism emerged: Welles Crowther ’99, the Man in the Red Bandanna, sacrificed his life to lead at least a dozen people to safety in the South Tower.
