Here is Mr @ianjamespoulter with some very helpful pointers on the pitch shot from a tight fairway lie, a shot that so many amateurs really struggle with. . Weakening the left hand grip is important to maintaining the loft throughout the shot. If you have a strong left hand grip you tend to roll your wrist back to neutral and close the face too much. Also notice how his club and body rotate together - it’s only a short shot but his body is facing the target when he’s finished.
