One of my favourite things as a kid was to strike a match to light candles every festive season, under my mama’s watchful eye, of course 😅 Deepavali was another excuse for me to light candles as I loved watching the dancing flames of the wick and it’s even more meaningful as it is the Festival of Light. Deepavali also meant a visit to our parents’ friends’ homes for delicious food and murukku, of course!
