We tested tyson.horsley vertical jump using the verttrainer and he touched 10’7”. I told him that was high enough to dunk which surprised him as he had never dunked before!
Two attempts was all it took! His first attempt he had the height but jumped too close to the hoop. On his second attempt, he jumped from a little further away and he crushed it!

We have vert tested many athletes who can touch around 10’6” to 10’8” who have never dunked before. If you’re one of these athletes, get in your dunk reps (just like dribbling and shooting) and you will start dunking! It’s your lack of dunking skill, not your vertical jump that is preventing you from dunking.
If you want to increase your vertical jump, we recommend using verttrainer for your jump workouts and to get in the weight room to get your strength up!
