Hurricane Francine was quickly downgraded to a tropical storm Wednesday night after making landfall along the Gulf Coast as a Category 2 hurricane. Now, the storm continues to move inland over southeastern Louisiana with maximum sustained winds of 45 mph, bringing heavy rainfall to Mississippi, Alabama and the Florida Panhandle, according to the National Hurricane Center.
