Ashley Matthews, a graduate student in the Speech-Language Pathology MS program at Indiana State University, wants to make a difference in her clients' lives. Hands-on clinical and research experiences have allowed Ashley to work with Parkinson's patients, stroke patients, patients with traumatic brain injuries, individuals who have difficulty swallowing, veterans, children with autism, and transgender individuals, among others. “Indiana State has everything I wanted in my graduate program: the academics, the research, and the clinical experience," she says.
