Evening update from #MLGW President McGowen: Francine slowly moved through the area today causing us to battle outages that fluctuated between from 3000 to 9000 customers as our team managed the grid and made repairs. This evening the trailing band is impacting our area, increasing wind speed to a steady 25mph with gusts as high as 53mph. This caused several circuit outages and grew the total outage numbers to approximately 20,000. We are still well positioned with crews to respond through the night and into tomorrow.
