The 27-year-old Uruguayan defender Juan Izquierdo dies after falling to the ground unconscious in the 84th minute of a football game. He was taken off the pitch in an ambulance before being treated at the intensive care unit of in São Paulo’s Albert Einstein Hospital. He had been undergoing medical treatment since collapsing during a game on August 22.
