Today we lift up Nichole Rom '15, a Surface Warfare Officer (SWO) in the United States Navy, currently stationed at Mariner Skills Training Center, Atlantic in Norfolk, VA. She has served on the USS Normandy and USS America, and in Sasebo, Japan. Nichole writes that she is "involved in virtually every aspect of Navy missions. As a SWO, you may be in charge of any number of shipboard operations and activities while at sea, working with or within a multitude of specialized forces." She continues that "I love what I do and I hope to continue for a very long time." She currently is on shore duty in Virginia at Mariner Skills Training Center, Atlantic, where she is teaching officers to drive ships and prepare them for leadership at sea. #gustieswillshine
