Join us on November 9th as we honor the Arlington County Sheriff, Jose Quiroz, our 2024 Distinguished Alumni Awardee! Born in Takoma Park, Maryland, Quiroz moved to Arlington with his family when he was five. His parents are proud immigrants from Honduras. After his father’s tragic death in 1992, Quiroz attended Catholic school, a challenging endeavor for his mother. Graduating from Bishop Denis J. O’Connell High School in 1997, he joined the United States Marine Corps and served as a non-commissioned officer, being honorably discharged in 2001. Quiroz continued his dedication to service by joining the Arlington County Sheriff’s Office on September 10, 2001.
