I love music, but I feel like there is something valuable about being able to focus and train when there is no external stimulus. Just you and the training. Embracing the boredom. Breathing. I write down all my training on an index card, then before bed again in a training journal, because that’s what helps me focus. Writing things down on pen and paper. I try to stay off my phone when I’m training and definitely make it a point to stay off social media. It may seem like such small things, but I’ve found these habits to really help with making progress.
