If you have a brick at Olympic Plaza, lately they've had some city staff at a tent handing out paper and chalk so people can make an outline of a brick to keep and preserve. Perhaps not the solution everyone wanted, but, better than nothing? Recap: Olympic Plaza will be undergoing a facelift. The old engraved bricks will not be part of the new renovations, and they'll be discarded. People will not be able to keep the bricks they've paid for, unfortunately. City staff said it's not feasible or cost efficient. And that's that. 🤔 I wonder what the fine would be if someone were caught trying to dig up their brick. If caught, I'd imagine a by-laws fine would happen, but like, they aren't going to take the brick away from you..? The cost of doing business is how a lot of huge companies operate. Just saying.
