On this last full weekend of summer, I spent my time appropriately for the season: camped with friends, made s’mores, roasted (vegetarian) weenies over the fire, played bananagrams on a picnic table over beers (okay they were pumpkin spice but don’t tell anyone), and of course, hiked in the mountains. I’ve hiked to Blue Lake in the Indian Peaks Wilderness many times, but never to the upper Little Blue Lake. But this weekend, finally made it up there! It was a little more than I bargained for: all boulder scrambling from one lake to the next and back (which I am not the biggest fan of), which made the 3/4-mile one way seems a whole lot longer than it was, but hey, I did it and I’m still alive and well. 😂 Also the weather was incredible and we saw five moose so I have no actual complaints - life is awesome. 😁 Cheers to the most wonderful month of September! 🍂🍁 P.S.
