// From AUDIBLE to VISUAL // This week I watched a vid entitled, “See with your ears: Spielberg and Sound Design”. (It’s on YouTube) The premise was how the sound in Steven Spielberg’s movie ‘Munich’ was so encapsulating that you could close your eyes at the end of this scene and through the sound and score, you can “see with your ears” everything that was happening because Spielberg is a freakin genius. As a church and music photographer, it’s our job to do just that. We should be able to translate what is audibly happening in the room or stage and translate that visually while projecting the emotion and sound that’s on the stage. Today, Pastor stevenfurtick spoke a message entitled, “Reverse the Ripple” 🤯 (What an incredible message, Good grief.) and I challenged my team after going over this concept to not just take photos of the message but translate it visually.
