Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and his Change & Impact team have been working with a PA rep to sponsor a bill that would mandate medical insurance to cover speech therapy for people who stutter. This week, the PA House Committee unanimously passed the vote! #PittCSD Mandy Hampton Wray, Ph.D., CCC-SLP and her BSL Lab have been working with Mike to host stuttering workshops. We were fortunate enough to have him come to Pitt for a visit and meet with our graduate students to discuss his experience with stuttering a few years ago.
