Summer is ending which means the most popular stargazing season is coming to a close *sigh*. But, don’t put your binoculars away just yet because this year it’s going out with a bang 🤩. This week, dark sky fanatics in North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, Antarctica, and the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, and Arctic oceans will be able to witness a stunning, and very rare, partial lunar eclipse. Since this occurs when the Earth’s shadow partially covers the moon, your relation to the moon will determine when you have the greatest chance at seeing the phenomenon.
