Last week at the cbcfinc Annual Legislative Conference, I had the privilege of moderating some incredibly powerful discussions with the fiercest leaders and change makers I know. A huge thank you to replbr, alsobrooksformd, and senlaphonza for allowing me to moderate “Black Women Belong in the US Senate.” We discussed the unique challenges Black women face in the Senate (only THREE in history have served!) and, most importantly, the transformative work they hope to achieve. I also want to express my gratitude to jasmineforus for inviting me to moderate “Clapback: Fighting in the Current Politically Violent Climate.” We had an unapologetically real conversation about how the community can rally behind those fighting for justice.
