If you have a child that is d/Deaf or Hard of Hearing tap here...
If your child has just been identified as deaf/hard of hearing, or if you've been on this road for a while already, I want you to know that you're doing a fantastic job.
❤️It's important to remember that there isn't a one-size-fits-all approach to parenting a DHH child. Every child is unique, and every family's journey is different.
A piece of advice that I love to give to parents is to focus on the positive.
It's easy to get bogged down in the challenges associated with being DHH, but it's important to meet yourself where you are- give yourself and your child grace, and space to feel what you feel and acknowledge that you might feel sad or frustrated. ❤️Celebrate your child's successes, big and small, and take pride in their achievements.
