𝙎𝙖𝙢𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝘽𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙙𝙤𝙜𝙨 𝙎𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙉𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙒𝙞𝙣 𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙥: A crowd of 6,045 fans descended into the newly renovated Pete Hanna Stadium for Samford’s first home game of the season. The Samford Bulldogs came out on top of a defensive battle, edging out the Alabama State Hornets in a 12-7 victory. Samford Head Coach, Chris Hatcher, said in his post game conference: “I’ve said this should be a yearly matchup with these guys due to the proximity of the schools.” Only 93 miles between the Samford Bulldogs and Alabama State Hornets down in Montgomery. It would be a great tradition & rivalry for both schools. 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲: Noah Martin extends his double-digit tackle streak to a total of 5 games. (2 last season and 3 this season.)
