Scully, you’re not going to believe this….🛸 We’re not saying it’s clouds, but…it’s clouds. Believe it! Lenticular clouds may look otherworldly, ready to land on the horizon or perhaps lift up a barnyard animal, but they’re actually the result of normal scientific processes right here on Earth. These stationary clouds form at high altitudes near mountain ranges. When stable humid air blows over the top of a mountain, it can form a group of waves on the range’s downwind side. If the temperature is low enough on this side, the moisture in the air will condense and form flying saucer-shaped clouds.
