The history between Auburn and Arkansas dates back to 1984 before the Razorbacks officially joined the conference.
The future conference foes would meet for the first time on December 27, 1984, in Memphis, Tennessee. The 16th-ranked Tigers would pull out the 21-15 victory in the Liberty Bowl.
Arkansas joined the SEC in 1992. The first game as conference foes was played in Auburn and resulted in a 24-24 tie - the only tie in the matchup history as overtime was adopted in 1996.
Auburn would win the 1993 and 1994 matchups before losing for the first time in 1995 at the Razorbacks' second home in Little Rock.
The Razorbacks have had one of the crazier uniform histories in the SEC. Arkansas currently wears a beautiful uniform that harkens back to the Darren McFadden era of the mid-2000s.
