The Berkeley Police Department released a 155-page workload organizational study on Sept. 4, with data regarding its operations, crime statistics and misconduct allegations, among other topics. BPD hired Citygate Associates, a government consulting agency, to conduct the study. The report was prompted in part due to the city of Berkeley’s Reimagining Public Safety process and a recommendation from the city auditor’s overtime audit.
