The deaths of Amber Nicole Thurman and Candi Miller because of Georgia’s abortion ban have shown exactly how essential access to abortion — including emergency care — is to our families and communities. Today, Senators senpattymurray, senjackyrosen, senatorbaldwin, and Senate Finance Chairman ronwyden introduced a resolution reaffirming that every single person should be able to access emergency abortion care, no matter who they are or where they live. Emergency health care, including abortion, is a fundamental right. It’s past time to undo the damage of MAGA extremism and protect access to emergency care.
