Meet Lexi. Lexi is a catcher at Cal State Fullerton. More importantly, Lexi has a little sister named Karina. Karina was diagnosed with cancer when she was just 4.5 years old. After multiple heart failures, an induced coma, numerous rounds of chemo & finally, an unrelated donor, Karina survived and is a thriving 13 year old girl. Lexi has been training with jen_schro for years. Which is why when designing our Special Edition Pediatric Gear jen_schro knew she wanted Karina to be our “survivor” represented on the gear. Last year, jen_schro brought Lexi's entire family, including Karina, to surprise her with her own set of Pediatric Gear. Lexi played all last season at Fullerton in the gear, to honor her sister.
