The City of Houston was proud to attend Kroger’s Hispanic Heritage Celebration in the East End! KrogerCo, an Ohio-based company, has introduced the first-of-its-kind Hispanic concept store, offering a more inclusive shopping experience tailored to our vibrant Hispanic community. Anna Carpenter, Deputy Chief of Communications, attended on behalf of the Mayor’s Office, and Edith Santamaria represented Council Member Joaquin Martinez from District I at the event. This initiative, led by Kroger’s first Latina president, Laura Urquiza Gump, recognizes the importance of multicultural diversity. We applaud Kroger for creating a space where everyone feels welcome and represented. . . . JMartinez4Hou #EastEndHouston #InclusiveHouston #HispanicHeritage #KrogerHouston #MulticulturalHouston
