CDN Contributor Hannah Yerington recently boarded the Victoria Star tour boat for a Summertime History Sunset Cruise, presented all season by the Whatcom Museum. The 100-foot-long, 149-person capacity vessel was originally built as a crew boat, then converted to a foot ferry serving passages to Catalina and other places around the West Coast. It now spends its retirement cruising Bellingham Bay, and is booked for whale watching, weddings and the Whatcom Museum’s history tours.
