2/5 I arrived to a small line of pro-rights advocates standing opposite a much larger group of worship-singing anti-abortion attendees. I also noticed right off the bat that there was a measurable police presence. "Wow, what an awesome way to spend taxpayer money” I thought to myself. Upon arriving it felt more like a Sunday sermon at church than a presence set on taking away human rights. About 60 people congregated to praise music in the plaza while I wondered "Where are the pro-choice protestors? Where are our people?" As I made my way up to the city hall chamber I realized they were already inside, filling all the seats in preparation for the meeting to come. As the meeting began and the remaining people trickled in, it became clear that those supporting reproductive rights outnumbered anyone who came to oppose them. As the gavel struck, the people rose for the pledge of allegiance, and the meeting was off to a very quick start. #abortionrights #abortion #temecula #temeculavalle...
