A majority of Iowans oppose the state’s new “fetal heartbeat” law, which bans most abortions after about six weeks of pregnancy, according to a new Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll. This latest Iowa Poll is the first test of Iowans’ views on abortion since the state’s six-week ban went into effect July 29.
