It’s Monday, so lievschreiber and I are feeling a little CHEEKY! We are making a specialty cocktail called “Spanked Mint” but traditionally it’s called the “ The County Louth Mule” but made with slaintewhiskey of course! 👏🏼🍀 🥃 The official name of this cocktail is named after the County Louth in a coastal county in the Eastern and Midland Region of Ireland, within the province of Leinster. My favorite part about this cocktail is spanking the mint to bring out its fresh essential oils and aroma. A smack accentuates the oils, whereas more violent action against the herb — like a muddle or a crush that can bruise and break leaves and stems leading to a release of a chlorophyll aroma.
