🌄 Behind the Scenes of Our Iconic Composite Shot for the Washington Army National Guard 🎥✨ drewdirects had a vision of ending the commercial with an iconic shot of soldiers standing on a ridge overlooking Mount Rainier. Finding the right scenic overlook was tough, and we ended up with a spot 1.5 hours away from camp. Despite the rainy Seattle weather, we seized a clear night, only to face full fog once we arrived at the overlook. Our DP mr_terpstra suggested shooting it anyway and to “trust the comp” – with the plan of VFX compositing the mountain during post-production.
